(im)patiently for my next mark. order of personal-business awesomeness, I want to share with you something very exciting!

In the early days of Summer I discovered Butter London Lacquers. It caught my eye because of the quirky jar and then I noticed all of the names relate back to Londontown, my home away from home! I’ve tried a couple, Lady Muck and Blagger, and I like that the colors aren’t sheer at all. O.P.I. remains my favorite nail polish brand, but sometimes it’s frustrating to pick a polish and it comes out so sheer you need a few too many coats.

Anyway, I was in ULTA and I spotted this color…Cheeky Chops, and it’s not playing with that name! It’s fricken yellow and so damn pretty! I tried it last night and I like the way it looks against my skin. I’m venturing out into this alleged blustery weather this weekend to get a manicure with it! It’s my farewell, good riddance, won’t miss you one bit, Summer, color!

Monday’s product feature is mark. Please Hold Eye Primer!!

It seems like ages ago I learned about the importance of a good base for your eyes when applying eye makeup. It’s a practice I’ve played around with over the years, but not one that ever became a regular habit.

First, I feel that the cost of eye makeup “primer” is outrageous! Second, I’ve found that alternatives such as a cream based shadow add too much color to the overall look. Finally, I’ve never really had an issue with eye makeup lasting on a regular day - 9 to 5, 8 to 6, 5 to 2(am) or however it breaks down. HOWEVER, There are times where my day might get extended. Maybe I suddenly have an appointment that made the day go longer, or I had some overtime hours to put in, or (and most important) I’m unexpectedly going out after my long day of work or class and need my makeup to last because I didn’t bring any to touch up with (that’s a completely different issue that I realize is a shame in and of itself). 

Lo and behold! mark. has a solution! The mark. Please Hold Eye Primer comes in two shades: Light to Medium and Medium to Dark, but in reality it applies virtually sheer. It definitely doesn’t sparkle like many competitor brands, which is nice; especially when one is going for a natural look. It’s light, not in the slightest bit greasy and only takes a finger swipe or two to get the job done. The best part is that it does what it’s supposed to do - extend the wear of your eye makeup! For only $8.00, I don’t know how ANYONE can find a complaint with that!

I’m not gone, just added school to my plate. as I officially start school Monday, I plan to spend Saturday (hopefully just AM) organizing my mark. life, so I can be successful at it with ease. You can’t get rid of me that easily!!
